THE
GREAT WRAPPER RESET
TOUR
Resetting the thinking behind wrapper decisions
7 - 22 September 2026
10 locations
You're working in an environment where tax planning is becoming increasingly complex.
Frozen allowances, higher dividend tax rates and pension death benefits moving into the scope of IHT are all reshaping how advisers think about wealth accumulation, retirement income and intergenerational planning.
At the same time, industry debate around wrapper selection and income strategies continues to grow. Long-standing planning approaches are being challenged, but does that mean it's time to abandon them altogether, or simply reassess them through a modern lens?
At AJ Bell, we're not convinced that every traditional planning principle needs rewriting.
Many established wrapper strategies can still play an important role, but today's landscape calls for a more thoughtful review of when and how they're used.

That's why we've created
The Great Wrapper Reset.
This September, we're taking the conversation on tour to help advisers cut through the headlines, challenge assumptions and gain greater confidence in the planning conversations that lie ahead.
Meet your incredible speakers
We're bringing together technical, investment, platform and behavioural insights to help you navigate today's planning challenges.
You will also get to hear from your regional Business Development Manager who will explore how AJ Bell’s latest platform developments, automation and integrations could help reduce friction, improve efficiency and support the way you work as client needs become more complex.

Russ Mould, Investment Director, AJ Bell
Outlook for 2027
In his talk, our Investment Director, Russ Mould, will look at the potential outlook for economies, markets and portfolios in the year ahead and beyond, helping you assess if your investment strategies and solutions are equipped to handle market changes.

Lisa Webster and Joshua Croft, Senior Technical Consultants, AJ Bell
Technical round-up: The rules are changing – is your planning strategy?
Join one of AJ Bell’s Senior Technical Consultants, for a practical update on the biggest planning changes facing advisers and paraplanners.
They will explore the new ISA rules arriving in April 2027, including restrictions on cash and cash-like investments, charges on interest and what the reforms mean for clients. They will also provide the latest update on pensions and inheritance tax, examining whether the widely-discussed view that advisers should switch from the established ‘pension last’ approach to ‘pension first’ is really the right answer.

Mallika Bhaskar, Behavioural Architect Manager, Cowry Consulting
Why do clients make decisions that don't always make sense?
Join behavioural science expert Mallika Bhaskar for a fast-paced, interactive session exploring the weird and wonderful ways our minds work.
Through real-world examples and practical insights, Mallika will unpack the hidden biases and mental shortcuts that shape your clients’ behaviour, revealing how you can harness simple behavioural science principles to make financial conversations more engaging and impactful.
You’ll leave with practical tips on how to help clients cut through complexity, make more confident decisions and ultimately build stronger, more trusted relationships along the way.

Nicky Sevel and Steph Dyer, CEO & Account Manager, Woven Advice
Navigating change with confidence
The Great Wrapper Reset is, by definition, a time of change and flux for clients and advisers alike. That may sound daunting, but with the right support, switching assets from one wrapper to another – or even moving clients from one platform to another – can be a straightforward operation.
In this talk, they'll explain how their company can support you by removing the complexity that usually comes with change.

Brian Donald and Daniel Eachus, Investment Business Development Managers, AJ Bell
10 years on: ready for the reset
Our Investment experts will demonstrate how the AJ Bell Investments' range can be harnessed to help advisers navigate The Great Wrapper Reset challenge.
They'll also provide a more general update on our core MPS range and raise a glass to celebrate our 10-year anniversary.
